Our very special guest is local First Nations guitarist, vocalist and Blues composer Gerald Charlie who will be performing and talking about his music." width="450" class="CToWUd a6T" tabindex="0" />The film “Rumble: The Indians Who Rocked The World takes us on a journey that brings to light a profound and missing chapter in the history of North American music: the Indigenous influence. This uplifting, much acclaimed Canadian made film has won accolades and awards internationally. Featuring rockers likeJimi Hendrixand Robbie Robertson, delta blues pioneer Charley Patton, jazz singer Mildred Bailey and other icons likeBuffy Sainte-Marie, the film traces the long — and long unsung — influence of Native artists on the North American musical landscape.

NOTE: Cinema Politica Ridge Meadows fall fundraiser on November 22, 2018 at The Ranch Pub and Grill. Tickets are $25 and include a buffet, a drink, live music and dancing. For tickets please contact us by email or talk to any of our organizers in person at our screening.
