GETI Fest 2017
The 7th Annual GETI Fest is coming to Maple Ridge's Memorial Peace Park, on Saturday, September 16, 2017, from 10:00 am to 2:00 pm.
This year's theme is "Sustainable Community" and will highlight groups, organizations, and individuals that are involved in making our community a better place to live, work, and play. We will focus on the pillars of Sustainability; Healthy environment, Food security, Local economy, Social collaboration, and Health and wellbeing.
We will achieve this by working collaboratively with the Haney Farmers Market, local first nations groups, Parks and Leisure, and local neighborhood organizations and businesses.
Displays and activities will showcase local groups and organizations, and highlight future development, the past and future of transportation, sustainable local business, sustainable agriculture, and healthy environments through the lens of community involvement.
The festival will be filled with static and interactive displays, music, entertainment for the whole family, and much more. Visit Main Street (highlighting sustainable community and environment), the Village Square (showcasing the GETI Action groups, community groups, and local sustainable businesses), The Artisan Village (local artisans and vendors), the Haney Farmers Market (food and more from our community), The Station (where we stroll through transportation, past, present, and future), and Mind Body and Soul (healthy, holistic and fun activities under one tent)
