I was at the Mother Earth News Fair last week-end in Puyallup, WA. I met the publishers of Yes! magazine and Chelsea Green Publishing. They are both very aware of the Transition Initiative movement and publish a lot of material that is extremely relevant.

Both of these companies are interested in participating in GETIFest. They are talking about possibly getting a shared table (one of them is based in Washington state), or about sending us books and magazines that we could give away or sell.

I'm excited about this, and was thinking we could maybe put together a "resources" table? Publishers might be willing to send us sample copies of books and magazines that are relevant to our interests, and we could put out their catalogs or subscription forms, and we could raffle off or silent auction our samples (or donate them to the CEED Centre as part of their library).

What do you folks think? If you like the idea, I'm willing to do the leg-work (contacting publishers and acquiring books and catalogs). However, I should probably get started sooner rather than later, so it would be good if you could let me know.

l know Chelsea Green has published a lot of great books. Love the idea of having them represented at GETI fest.
