In its prime Katzie Slough was a huge Coho contributor to the south Alouette River. Now it is primarily a drainage ditch. Learn about the importance of the slough, some of the cool animals that call it home and what Scott, with the help of the community, is doing to create a healthy natural space for residents and visitors to beautiful Pitt Meadows.
The tour starts and ends at the parking lot of Meadowtown Shopping Center by the railway tracks (19800 Lougheed Highway). Please arrive by 4:45pm. Wear comfortable shoes and dress for the weather. Bring water and a snack.
The tour is free but donations are always accepted!
