Cinema Politica is pleased to be partnering with the CEED Centre in hosting a film by Jack Emberly, a local reporter, educator and environmentalist who attended the Fairy Creek old growth logging protest last summer on Vancouver Island. Over 1,000 protestors, including journalists covering the protest, were arrested by the RCMP. "Fairy Creek As I See It" covers Jack's search for the truth. He will be attendance to talk about his film and to answer questions.
Join Jack as he sets out to see for himself what is going on at the Fairy Creek Blockade, searching for truth in an age of deceitful propaganda. Reportedly RCMP are illegally blocking media movement. Would he see this? Who were the protestors and their supporters, and why did they come? He asks them personally. The answers will set you thinking.
