We of the Maple Ridge Raging Grannies gaggle are dedicated to the use of non-violent action, song, dance and fun, to right the wrongs that face our society.  We come from varying religious, ethnic and cultural traditions united in our desire for a more just and equitable society.   We act to arouse awareness of such issues as Peace, Social Justice, Environmental Protection, Racism, Political Corruption etc and in so doing bring about the necessary changes in both laws, policy and attitudes.

So the next time you see an older lady, wearing an apron, a hat, a shawl and spectacles and carrying an umbrella or cane, don’t be fooled!  She is not meek and mild, she is not feeble and weak!  This granny speaks her mind, stands up for her principles, takes action to make this world a better place and is not afraid to voice her opinions.  She is a “Raging Granny”!.
