Fraser Valley Pipeline Watch Group

Information

Fraser Valley Pipeline Watch Group

This group is for  Fraser Valley residents who are concerned about pipeline construction through Bristish Columbia for transportation of diluted bitumen from the Tar Sands of Northern Alberta to the Pacific coast for export to foreign markets.  We are concerned about the impacts on our waterways, wildlife, wild salmon, coastal ecosystems, First Nations and local communities.  Our purpose is to raise awareness in the communites of Maple Ridge, Mission and Pitt Meadows on issues and developments on these pipelines.

We promote the open sharing of information on pipeline projects and work in conjunction with the Pipe Up! Network.

Many thanks Lisa and Christopher.  We need help with the set up on November 7 for the pipeline townhall meeting, and to maybe help with the general organization.  If you can arrive earlier, that would be great.  We will be there from 5:30 pm onwards, so you can drop by anytime.
